Booklets

The booklet is the first of what I consider "the perfect formats" (see also, the poster). Somewhere between zine and pamphlet is the sweet spot for me. The projects pictured here are often self-initiated, so they include a visual diary (obviously), some impossibly difficult papercraft, and a “let’s see what a laser printer can really do” project.

Also there’s a book where every page is a picture of the page before it — literally disassembled, photographed, reprinted and reassembled every time. A sort of mis en abyme rendered via obsessive process, this is an attempt to disprove the notion that time moves exclusively forward, by way of overlapping disparate points. Unfortunately, the experiment failed to prove the thesis. Time travel can't actually be done, not through bookmaking anyway.
